The Invacare Comet
powered wheelchair has been designed especially for children.
Each element, from the footrest height to the size of the seat
combines to produce a chair that can fit a child perfectly.
The brightly coloured frames give an attractive look to a fun
yet very practical vehicle, giving back freedom and independence
to today's busy youngsters!
The Comet fulfils all the basic mobility needs of a less able
youngster - and more! The controls are simple and easy to use,
with a neat joystick which offers high levels of mobility both
indoors and outside, taking your child from the playground to
the classroom, or from home to the park, in comfort and safety.
Maintenance-free batteries give up to 14.5km on a single charge,
at speeds of up to 6.5 km/hr. Batteries are easily charged from
any household mains supply. |

The Comet can be quickly dismantled, taking up minimal
space when not in use, and fitting into a typical small
car boot for longer journeys.
The children's chair comes with a host of options and
accessories, enabling the standard Comet to be adapted
to particular needs. Where hand movement is limited, a
choice of chin, central or swingaway control is available,
with the option of dual control to allow an attendant
to drive the chair.
